Irina Chemencedji (b. 2004, Bucharest, Romania) is an artist and architectural designer based in Savannah, GA. Her mixed media practice involves painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, merging spatial frameworks with gestural mark-making to translate emotional and sensory experiences into abstract visual systems.
Irina has shown her work in five group shows, including Exhibizone’s Abstract Zone 2026 (online) and the Savannah College of Art and Design Fine Arts Showcase in 2024 and 2025. Her notable architecture recognitions include the AIA COTE Top Ten Award, IDA Gold and AIA Aspire Award. Publications include Artistonish 69 and The American Institute of Architecture Students. She has been invited to lecture on her work at the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students SCAD chapter.
Irina graduated from the International British School of Bucharest in 2021 at the age of 16, earning a full scholarship to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She will graduate from SCAD in 2027 with a double B.F.A. in painting and architecture.
